An excellent opportunity has arisen for a focused Quantity Surveyor to join our clients Commercial Team. Our client is a well-established and one of the largest new build specialists in the UK.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that Commercial Department procedures comply with company procedures.
Negotiate and place orders for labour and material sub-contractors
Work closely with other departments to ensure project viability and improve cost effectiveness.
Monitor invoicing procedures and resolve any issues
Calculate all the prime costs on developments within the business, reporting any movements in the costs since the preparation of the land purchase exercise
Assist in the preparation of Site Budgets
Detail a labour cost schedule including anticipated target hours.
Maintain the development budget
Assist with site adoption works and manage closed site provisions.
Assist in monthly WIP and cash flow forecasting.

Skills and Requirements:

Good knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC and Health and Safety requirements.
Industry related business qualification.
Manage internal and external clients.
IT literate (COINS system preferred).
